Job Description
Business Analyst (Retail & SME Banking) is responsible for analyzing business requirements, improving banking processes, and supporting digital transformation initiatives across retail and SME segments. The role ensures alignment between business stakeholders, IT teams, and operational units to deliver customer-centric, compliant, and efficient banking solutions.
Key Responsibilities
1. Requirements Gathering & Analysis
Engage with business stakeholders to understand needs for retail and SME banking products (loans, deposits, credit cards, trade finance, CASA, merchant solutions, etc.).
Document business requirements, user stories, process flows, and functional specifications.
Conduct feasibility studies and impact assessments for new initiatives.
2. Process Improvement
Analyze current workflows and identify gaps in onboarding, KYC, credit assessment, loan processing, collections, and customer servicing.
Recommend process optimization and automation opportunities using digital tools, workflow engines, and CRM systems.
Streamline customer journeys for faster TAT (turnaround time) and enhanced experience.
3. Digital Transformation & System Enhancements
Support the development and enhancement of retail/SME banking systems:
Core banking
Loan origination systems (LOS)
Credit scoring & risk models
Digital onboarding platforms
Mobile & internet banking
CRM & customer service portals
Work closely with IT/Application teams to translate business needs into system requirements.
Participate in solution design, UAT, and production rollout.
4. Data & Reporting
Analyze performance data for retail & SME segments—loan portfolio trends, NPLs, customer acquisition, retention, and product profitability.
Develop dashboards and MIS reports for management decision-making.
Support regulatory compliance reporting (SAMA / RBI / Central Bank as applicable).
5. Stakeholder Management
Liaise with business teams, credit, operations, risk, compliance, and IT to ensure smooth delivery of initiatives.
Facilitate workshops, sprint planning, and review meetings.
Manage change requests and track project progress.
6. Compliance & Risk
Ensure all product and process changes comply with regulatory guidelines, KYC/AML standards, and internal policies.
Support audits, risk assessments, and policy updates.
Job qualifications:
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Information Systems, or related field.
Banking domain experience: 3–8 years (Retail or SME Banking preferred).
Strong understanding of banking products, customer onboarding, credit lifecycle, and digital channels.
Experience with business analysis tools: BRD, FRD, BPMN, Visio, Jira, Confluence, etc.
Knowledge of agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).
Analytical mindset with strong communication and documentation skills.
